He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Beardslee and Herbert Beardslee; and his brother Ed. He is survived by: his children, Chris Anne Beardslee Myers (Steve Myers), Karen Beardslee Kwasny (Tom Kwasny) and David Paul Beardslee (Suzanne Beardslee); his grandson Tristan Thomas Kwasny; his sister Lois Beardslee Weaverling; his sister-in-law Marilyn Beardslee; his former wife Peggy Beardslee; his wife Anne; and his pet Nittany.
In 2019, at his 60th class reunion, he was awarded the highest honor a Colgate alumnus can receive – "The Maroon Citation" for his dedication and contributions to the University.
