He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Adam and Gladys Catherine Arbogast (Scott); his brother Fred Arbogast; and his brother-in-law John Coberly. He is survived by: his wife Karen June Messer; his siblings, Bill Arbogast, Robert "Bobby" Arbogast (Judy), Catherine Coberly and Mary Ryan (Kenneth); his grandchildren, William Arbogast (Carrie), Jessica Shaffer (Adam), Jenna Anderson, Emily Walck (Nolan), Karina Porretta (Keith), Dacey Arbogast and Ridge Arbogast; his stepgrandchildren, Jordan Mullenex and Austin Mullenex; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Christian Anderson, Liliana Porretta, Quinn Arbogast, Vivian Walck, Norah Shaffer, Kodah Walck, Hudson Arbogast, Trace Walck, Cicilia Porretta and Trent Porretta. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family, requests that contributions be made to the Orlena Global Methodist Church at 1670 Parsons Road, Montrose, WV 26283, or the Randolph County Humane Society, PO Box 785, Elkins, WV 26241.
