It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Lynn Channell of Elkins, West Virginia, who passed away on November 24, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Gary Lynn has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Graham Snead and Rita Marie Channell Westfall; his wife Nellie Marie Howell Channell; his son Shawn Dale Channell; and his siblings, Janice Taylor and David Westfall.
He is survived by: his children, Christal Channell-Jordan (Chris) of Elkins and Gary Channell Jr. (Amanda Weber) of Elkins; his grandson Matthew Jordan; his sisters, Patty White of Canton, OH and Frances McCoy of Craigsville; and his brother-in-law Jim Taylor of Elkins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Elkins Family Worship Center (1402 Taylor Ave, Elkins, WV 26241). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
