With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Mary Chester Phares of Elkins, West Virginia, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on February 21, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Chester and Leona Munjak Chester; her husband Roy Phares; her daughter Debbie Smith; and her sisters, Agnes Mays and Helen Huth.

She is survived by: her children, Mike Phares (Kathy) of Elkins, Jeannie Phares of Elkins, Charlie Phares of Elkins, Annette Weiford (Blake) of Elkins and Rose Marie Slattery; and her pet Fifi. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
