It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis E. Franks of Elkins, West Virginia, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on July 25, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Franks and Naomi Franks; and his sister Diane. He is survived by: his wife Ishah Franks; his children, Jessica Wanless (Jeremy), Joel Franks, Rachel Franks, Jeremiah Franks and Sarajane Shaffer (Dustin) of Elkins; his grandchildren, Willie Ward, Nevaeh Franks, Jacob Ward, Isaac Franks, Levi Wanless, Sydney Powell, Stephen Gabriel Franks Kerns and Ezra Shaffer; his pet Rudy; his siblings, Dixie Vargas (Marcus) of Akron, OH and Greg Franks (Cheryl) of Canal Fulton, OH; and his nieces and nephews, Cliff Franks (Danielle), Amanda Corbin (Dave) and Joey Vargas. He is also survived by eight great nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Denny's name to an organization close to his heart, the Chestnut Mountain Ranch, 244 Ponderosa Ponds Rd, Morgantown, WV 26508.
