He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jackson and Goldia Given (Green); and his brothers, Tom Given and Eugene Given. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Gross Given of Elkins; his sons, Eric Given of Dandridge and Ian Given (Kristy) of Elkins; his grandchildren, Alexandra Given Howard (Justin), Aubrey Given, Autumn Given of Newport and Landon Given of Elkins; and his siblings, Jaunita Moffatt of Akron, Agnes Kurtz (Raymond) of Arlington, Virginia, Delores "Dottie" Gray (Keith) of Upperglade, Billy Given of Tennessee and Harold Given (Melinda) of Ocala. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Charlie's memory to the Given Cemetery Fund, 354 Givens Run Road, Upperglade, WV 26266.
