Carolyne Simmons Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyne Simmons (Elkins, West Virginia), who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carolyne Simmons to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond W. Arbogast and Daisy Ware Arbogast; and her sisters, Freda Lowther, Wanda Ware, Lucy Shannon and Irene Arbogast.
She is survived by: her children, Rex A. Smith of Timberville, VA, Kevin D. Smith of Mill Creek, Cheryl L. Samples (Mike) of Valley Head and Karen J. Carrigan; her siblings, William Arbogast (Bonnie), David R. Arbogast (Sonya), Raymond R. Arbogast (Pamela), Jeffrey D. Arbogast (Susan) and Cindia L. Arbogast Long; her grandson Justin D. Kyle (Cheyeane) of Valley Bend; and her pet Lacey. She is also survived by twenty-eight great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Tomblyn Funeral Home (45 Randolph Ave, Elkins, WV 26241). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to West Virginia University Medicine Children's Hospital, 1 Medical Center Drive, Morgantown, WV 26506 in memory of Carolyne.
