With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Joan Canfield Rice of Elkins, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 25, 2024 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Canfield and Lillian Canfield (Kelly); her husband Donald L. Rice; and her grandson Mark Petrosky. She is survived by: her siblings, Firmen Carl Canfield, Anna Grace Daetwyler (Canfield) and Erma Jean Canfield; her sisters-in-law, Peggy Canfield of Elkins and Jane Rice of Morrisville, PA.; her stepchildren, Dianna Lynne Petrosky (Phil), Thomas Lee Rice (Melissa) and Donna Sue McClung (Ben); and her daughter Carolyn. She is also survived by Her children blessed her with eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home - Elkins (120 1st St, Elkins, WV 26241). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
