She was predeceased by: her parents, Blaine Weese and Myrtle Kyle Weese; her husband Howard R. Smith; her brothers, Bill and Blaine "Monk" Weese; her half-brother Glen Kyle; and her sisters, Mary Valentine and Christine "Teenie" Cropp.
She is survived by: her children, J. Richard Smith (Betsy Katell) of Elkins, Linda of Elkins, Lucy of Elkins and Julie Schoonover of Elkins; her grandchildren, Lori Betler (Scott) of James and Jamie Collins (Tanner) of Buckhannon, WV.; and her great grandchildren, Tess Betler, Lillyana Betler, Eli Smith, Emma Pingley and Griffin Collins (family: Jay, Debbie, Jaycie Saseen).
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Randolph County Humane Society, P.O. Box 785, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Betty.
