He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Hartman and Mary Stonebraker Hartman. He is survived by: his wife Sandra "Sandy" Willis Hartman; his children, Frank Hartman (Kay), Missy, Rick Cummings and Robert "Bobby" Hartman; and his grandchildren, Zack (Breanna) and Nick.

Memorial donations may be made to the Elk Garden Fire and Ambulance, Elk Garden WV 26717.
