He is survived by: his wife Doris Summerfield (Paugh); his children, Johnny Summerfield, Jr. of Elk Garden, Eric Summerfield (Olivia) of Elk Garden and Brenda Summerfield (Jesse Harvey) of Kitzmiller; his grandchildren, Leanna Hawk, Makenna Hawk, Jacy Riggleman, Kaylee Summerfield, Aubrey Summerfield, Avery Summerfield and Adeline Summerfield; his stepbrother John Schwinabart of Mt. Storm; and his brother Richard Summerfield (Kim) of Felicity, OH.
