He was predeceased by: his parents, William Russell Virts, Sr. and Dorothy Helen Virts (Beeman); and his brother William Virts, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, James Virts, Jr. (Corinna) of Elk Garden and Connie Lyons (Steven) of Elk Garden; his grandchildren, Steven Lyons, Brady Lyons and Kriston Virts; his great grandchildren, Carter and Emery Lyons; and his siblings, Allen Virts and Margaret Coddington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
