He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Kitzmiller and Hannah Kitzmiller (Junkins). He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Kelbaugh; his children-in-law, Gene of Elk Garden, Earl Kitzmiller of Mt. Storm, WV, John Kitzmiller and Melanie; his grandsons, Trevor, Cole and John "Jp" Kitzmiller; his former wife Violet Kitzmiller of Mt. Storm, WV; and his brother Dale Kitzmiller of Elk Garden, WV.. He is also survived by many friends and family.
