He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Croy and Dorotha Miller Via; his wife Karen Sue DeVaughn Croy; and his siblings, John William Croy and Caroline.

He is survived by: his son Kevin Croy (Deanna Abbott); his half-sister Mae Cain; his niece Angel Cain; and his nephew James Cain of Parkersburg.
