It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Snider of Elizabeth, West Virginia, who passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Merrell Snider and Florence Cain Snider; his wife Annabelle Gibson Snider; his siblings, Richard Snider and Eleanor Sims; and his children-in-law, Carolyn Snider and Jim Lewis.
He is survived by: his children, Beth Daugherty (Eric) of Elizabeth, Mike Snider (Christie) of Elizabeth, Melody Franklin (Larry) of Ravenswood and Brenda Stickley (Bob) of Summersville; his grandchildren, Bryon Garrett (Niki) of Elizabeth, Kristin Harper (Greg) of Summersville, Nick Snider (Kelly) of Elizabeth, Brady Lewis (Allyson) of Jane Lew and Megan Robinson (David) of Huntington; his stepgrandsons, Seth Villers (Alexis), Wade Villers (Bradley) and Brian Franklin (Kate); his great grandchildren, Zach Garrett of Williamstown, Noah Garrett (Mahala) of Elizabeth, Aaron Garrett (Cassidy McFee) of Elizabeth, Lauren Snider of Elizabeth, Derek Snider of Elizabeth, Liam Harper of Summersville, Oliver Harper of Summersville, Griffith Robinson of Huntington and Skylar Robinson Huntington; his stepgranddaughter Samantha Franklin; his stepgreat-granddaughter Annie Villers; and his great great grandchild Claire Garrett. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Matheny Whited Funeral Home (97 Juliana St, Elizabeth, WV 26143). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
