He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Shaffer and Annie Shaffer (O'Haver). He is survived by: his wife Wilma; his sons, Brad Shaffer (Terry) of Eglon, WV and Larry Shaffer (Jennifer) of Lady's Island, SC; his grandchildren, Michelle Berry (Donnell) of Aurora, WV, Sharon Brinson (Micheal) of Bluffton, SC, Alicia Collins (J. T.) of Deer Park, MD, Erica Anderson (Kirby) of Winchester, VA and Jordan Vance of Lady's Island, SC; and his siblings, Mickie Elliott (Chuck) and Bennie Shaffer (Kay). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Horizons Academy, 148 Greenwood Lane, Aurora, WV, or Mt. Grove Volunteer Fire Department, Eglon, WV.
