He was predeceased by: his parents, Odus Mark and Twila Bachtel (Hauser) of Virginia; his great grandchild Maison Sharp; his brother Clifton Bachtel (Grace); his brothers-in-law, Ray Best and Charles Blamble; and his sisters, Geneva Junkins and Wanda Bachtel.
He is survived by: his children, William "Bill" Bachtel (Dianna), Larry Bachtel (Jayne), Gary Bachtel (Denise), Brenda Cassidy (Jack), Eugenia Cassidy and Twila Amtower (Vernon); his siblings, Kenneth Bachtel (Donna), Pauline Best, Juanita Blamble and JoAnn Gehman (Glenn); his grandchildren, Teresa Bittinger (Scott), Shelly Cassidy (Mike Long), Kelly Junkins (Ronnie), Tammy Parsons (Leonard), Jason Wood (Shawnda), Matthew Bachtel, Amanda Sharp (Justin), Ashley Bodkins (Josh), McKayla Bachtel and Willie Bachtel; his great grandchildren, Stephanie Wilson (Jimmy), Daniel, Michael Parsons, Brandon, Natalie, Quentin Wood, Willie, Alex, Cassidy Sharp, Abigail Bodkins, John, Lonnie and Jimmy Junkins; and his great great grandchild Adalynn Wilson.
