She was predeceased by: her parents, Leamon Mounts and Mary "Layne" Mounts; her husband Amos Murphy; her sisters, Naomi Mounts and Hazel Sharpton; and her grandson Van Curtis Murphy.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Murphy (Vanda) of Mooresburg, TN, James Murphy (Janice) of Looneyville, WV and Hazel Frazier (Nick) of Paintsville, KY; her grandchildren, David Murphy, Mark Murphy, Michelle Stumbo, Alan Bradley Frazier, Daniel Layne Frazier, Bryan Foster Frazier and Michael Murphy; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylee, Kayci, Katie, Kaden, Ashley, Sydney, Morgan, Stephen, Channing, Anna Carol and Matthew; and her grandsons, Daniel Stumbo, Brad and Bryan Frazier. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.
