He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Watts and Senia Belle Watts; and his siblings, Glenna Raines, Ardith Thompson, Leoda Ellison, Charles Watts, Otis "Boots" Watts and Forrest Watts.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Maynard Watts; his daughter Kristi Marie McComas (LJ McComas); his grandchildren, Bailee Robertson and Cole McComas; and his siblings, Bobby Watts (Doris) of Lavalette, WV and Juanita Carter (Bud) of Ohio.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in honor of James' memory to Hospice of Huntington.
