It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Elkins of East Lynn, West Virginia, born in Jeffrey, West Virginia, who passed away on August 1, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Dickerson and Virginia Dickerson; her sisters, Clo Ann Mathis and Yvonne Talbert; and her grandson Joseph Stephens.
She is survived by: her husband Walter Elkins; her children, Brenda Stephens (Roger), Gary Elkins of East Lynn and Jerry Elkins of East Lynn; her grandchildren, Sara, Julie, Jamie, Nicholas and Thomas; her great grandchildren, Jarrett, Ryan Chaney, Emmalea and Taylor Smith; her great great grandchild Mia Chaney; and her siblings, Alice "Penny" Pendleton of Roanoke, Delva Joyce of Mich, Larry Dickerson (Pat) of Oh and Walter Dickerson of Ceredo, W. V. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
