He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Stapleton (Jennifer), Bulacan, Philippines, Billy Jack Stapleton (Teresa) of Proctorville, OH, Danny Stapleton (Donna) of Wayne, WV, Cathy Stapleton of Glendale, AZ, Angela Elliott (Todd) of Wayne, WV and Beverly Cassidy (Travis) of Genoa, WV; his sister Barbara Nieliwocki (Raymond) of Bradenton, FL; and his grandchildren, Rhonda Merwarth, Lisa Stapleton, Rhiana Jhen Stapleton, Tiffany Jhen Stapleton, C. Jay Stapleton, Jeremy Roten, Danny Thomas Stapleton, Ashley Walker, Trista Hagley, Randal Elliott (Samantha), Tyler Elliott (Megan), Brody Lunsford, Hailey Lunsford and Katelyn Perry (Tyler). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
