She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Whitlow and Olive Whitlow; and her husband Denvil Dean. She is survived by: her children, Dean Bishop of Cleveland, OH, Glenn Bishop of Lavalette, WV, Linda Smith of Nestlow, WV, Travis Dean of Wayne, WV, Brent Dean of Lavalette, WV and Jason Dean of South Point, Ohio. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
