Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Barbara Sloan (East Bank, West Virginia), who passed away at the age of 83, on February 12, 2019. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Betty Jane, Sally and George; and her husband Leonard O. Sloan. She is survived by: her sons, Leonard O. Sloan Jr (Pam) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Vernon Wayne Sloan (Sally) of South Port, NC; her grandchildren, Lauren Nelson (Lee) of Durham, NC, Nicholas Sloan (Kristyn) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Ryan Boggess (Heather) of Greensboro, NC; her stepgranddaughters, Abby Owens of Myrtle Beach, SC and Amanda Hudnall of Myrtle Beach, SC; her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Paisley Sloan, Tristan Boggess, Marleigh and Maggie Ann Nelson; and her brothers, Bill Mays (Jill) of Indiana, Jim Mays (Lannette) of Michigan and Johnny Mays (Betty) of Kentucky. She is also survived by sisters (aka "the Mays girls") Mary McLaughlin (Bill) of St. Albans, Margaret Pauley (Doug) of St. Albans, Sharon Curry (John) of Atlanta, GA, and Patricia Slone of Kentucky, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
