He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Messer and Eloise Newsome Messer. He is survived by: his sisters, Velvet Messer and Emma Strugell; his daughter Mary Marcum of Pike County, KY; his grandchildren, Chandler of Pike Co and Alice Mullett of Pike Co; his sister Ruthie Messer of Kermit, WV; his nieces and nephews, Faith Copley, Lonnie Hundley and Hope Hundley; his grandson Brandon Mullett; and his stepdaughter Faith Moore. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews.
