We are sad to announce that on January 2, 2025, at the age of 76, Russell Edgar Smarr Jr. (Dunbar, West Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Russell Edgar leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Goolsby Smarr and Russell Smarr, Sr.; his sister Patricia Smarr; and his nephew Theodore "Teddy" Wolfe. He is survived by: his children, James Boyd (Jane), Lisa Womack (Chris) and Lori Smith; his sister Linda Wolfe; and his pet Mocha. He is also survived by three nieces, three nephews, twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren.
A reception was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Keller Funeral Home (1236 Myers Ave, Dunbar, WV 25064).
