He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Profitt and Irene Profitt; his son Timothy Scott Profitt; his former wife Norema Lue Profitt; his stepson Jamie Roberts; and his brother Danny Profitt.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Profitt; his children, John Profitt (Sarah) of Alamogordo, NM and Amy Profitt-James of St. Albans; his stepdaughter Jessica Price (Jesse Ray) of Dunbar; his grandchildren, Meghan Profitt-Hall of Lubbock, TX, Josiah James of St. Albans and Christian James of St. Albans; his great grandchild Evelyn Hall of Lubbock, TX; his stepgranddaughter Makayla Robinson of Eleanor; and his brother Gary Profitt of Sissonville.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 2011 Roxalana Rd, Dunbar, WV 25064. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
