She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Carte (Dick) and Wanda Chapman Carte; her husband John Hess; and her brother Jesse Carte. She is survived by: her sons, Allen Walker (Robin) of Sissonville and Tony Walker (Christine) of San Diego, CA; her siblings, Mike Carte (Tina) of Elkview and Lisa Carte (J. R. Campbell) of Frame; her grandchildren, Winney (Ellie Walker), Dustin Carnefix, Shane Walker and Savannah Hissom (Josie Walker); and her great grandchildren, Braxton Armstead and Levi Carnefix.
