She was predeceased by: her father Erwin Lawson of Braderton, FL.. She is survived by: her mother Vera Lawson of Braderton, FL; her brother Gregg Lawson of Braderton, FL; her son Andrew Slater of Dunbar; and her granddaughter Sierra Slater of South Charleston.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that everyone donate to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association, 1248 Greenbrier St, Charleston, WV 25311, in Karen's honor to help this great cause, just as she had for any animal she came in contact with, as well as her own.
