She was predeceased by: her father Robert Bird; her husband Marvin Larry Smith of Corton, WV; and her son David L. Smith. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Bayes (Jeff) of South Charleston and Mark S. Smith (Angie) of South Charleston; her grandchildren, Mark Steven Smith Jr. of Portland, OR, Shannon Smith of Charleston and Amanda "Mandi" Roberts of South Charleston; her great grandchild Easton Bayes of Charleston; and her siblings, Jim Bird (Barbara) of Melbourne, FL and Carol Dye (Gary) of Clendenin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
