He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice Jean Scarberry; his parents, Charles Scarberry and Glenna Scarberry; his grandson Wayne McHorney; and his siblings, Charles Jr., Elmer Scarberry, Raymond Scarberry, Georgia Barger, Bertha Haynes, Clara Welker and Alice Scarberry.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Dixon (Mike), James Scarberry Jr. (Marilyn) and Becky Scott (Eric); his grandchildren, Shelia Lloyd (Neal), Cheryl Hudson (Rodney), George Hanna Jr. (Kelly), Jennifer Bruner (Brent), Daniel Dixon (Amanda), Missy Sarrett (Jon), Amy Paxton (Robert), Amber Hudnall (Michael), Keith HcHorney and Kristi Scott; and his siblings, Frank Scarberry, Clifford Scarberry, Leon Scarberry, Stella Canturbery, Doris Williams and Lora Ann Meeks (Curtis). He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren.
