He was predeceased by: his father James Nathaniel "Baby James" Phillips; and his sister Bonita Star "Pebbles" Miller. He is survived by: his wife Annette Harris Phillips; his mother Joyce Ann Phillips; his son Edgar James "EJ" Phillips (Lynnette Starr "Sissy" Phillips); his granddaughter Leilani DeLaine Phillips; and his brother James Nathaniel "Jamie" Phillips, Jr. (Traci). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Simpson Memorial Methodist Church (607 Shrewsbury St, Charleston, WV 25301). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
