It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delmer Young (Dunbar, West Virginia), born in Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on February 25, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Young and Carrie Young; his former wife Charlotte Ann Young; his wife Margaret I. Turley Young; and his siblings, Alton Young, Jr., Noble Young and Bonnie Martin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rosemary L. Young of Dunbar and Becky A. Young Selleseth of Cary, NC; his son-in-law Dean W. Selleseth; and his grandson Zander D. Young Selleseth.
He received AARP's highest award for community service, the Andrus Award, in 2007 for volunteer work for eight different organizations, including the AARP Foundation's WV ElderWatch program.
