He was predeceased by: his father Allen Ross Dent; and his stepfather Woodson Akers. He is survived by: his mother Patsy Maynor; his wife Teresa; his daughters, Briana and Holli; his brother Dirk (Pam); his stepsiblings, Tim, Frank, Rusty and Joni; his grandchildren, Lexi, Brock and Liam; his niece Cristen; and his nephew Creighton.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Snodgrass Funeral.
