It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Elaine Sargent Merrifield of Dunbar, West Virginia, who passed away on September 8, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Wilmer; and her siblings, Chester R. Sargent Sr., Helen Spencer and Joyce Fizer. She is survived by: her son Eric Merrifield of Dunbar; her grandchildren, Christian, Cody and Chloe; her siblings, Kenneth Sargent (Mary) of Dunbar, Wanda Mynes of Dunbar, Wilda Young of Teays Valley and Loretta Jividen of Dunbar; and her sister-in-law Dolores Sargent of Dunbar. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
