He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Burgess and Gudbjorg Burgess; and his grandparents, Bjarni Sigurdsson and Svanhit Svala Kristbjornsdottir. He is survived by: his wife Tammy; his daughter Alyssa; his grandchildren, Preston and Marissa; his parakeet Tootie; and his sisters, Debora Carter, Sandra Martinez (Andrew), Sue Laughlin (Mark), Robin Kelly (Brian) and Cozetta Kelly (Roger). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
