He is survived by: his sons, Fred Sutherland (Barbara) of Philadelphia, PA., Jim Sutherland (Cathy) of Charleston, WV and David Sutherland (Jana) of Frederick; his grandchildren, Matthew (Allison), Mark (Ellie), Jacqueline (Steve), Allison (Shawn), Cristin (James), Emily and Will; and his great grandchildren, Chloe Elizabeth Holstein, Katherine Lynn Pailthorp and Daniel Frederick Sutherland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
