He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Dillon and Rebecca Newsome Dillon; his son John Marcum; his brother Terry; and his parents-in-law, Acie and Annie Marcum.
He is survived by: his wife Birdie Newsome; his children, Patty Marcum (Josh), Molly Newsome, Megan Newsome, Morgan Newsome, Billy Newsome (Mary) and James Acie Newsome; his siblings, Sandra Bush (Bill) and Larry Dillon (Pat); his grandchildren, Sydney Marcum, Summer Conley, Kylie Conley, Kayle Hopper and Marlena Kirk; and his great grandchild Johana Kirk.
