He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Baisden and Gladys Deskins (Laymon); his sister Nancy May; his son-in-law James Meade; and his brother Larry Dale Deskins.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Baisden (Bryant); his children, Sherry Porter (Mark), William Baisden and Susie Meade; his grandchildren, Alexander Philip Baisden, Kyle Porter and Garrett Meade (Sheena); and his siblings, Quincy Deskins (Sadie), Thomas Deskins (Phyllis), Dwight Deskins (Kay), Bill Deskins and Teresa Hannah (Dwight). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
