It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oscar Ray Hensley of Dingess, West Virginia, who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Messer and Evelyn Messer of Dingess; his children, Melissa Hensley, Paul and Michael Hensley; and his siblings, Katie Bryant, Jewell Vance and Michael Messer.
He is survived by: his children, James Hensley, Danny Hensley and Donna Sue Workman; and his siblings, James Messer (Mary) and Sadie Browning (Teddy). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Akers-James Funeral Home (832 Old Logan Rd, Logan, WV 25601). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
