He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Vance and Bessie Baisden Vance; his son Robert Scott "Cheeseburger" Sizemore; and his siblings, Loretta Dempsey, Jannie Markum, Ivory Jean Keck, Tony Vance, Lonzo Vance and Carl Vance.

He is survived by: his wife Judy A. Vance; his sons, James Doug Sizemore (Chrystal) and Arnie Vance (Edith Bailey); his brothers, Floyd Willie Vance, Ray Medley Vance and Dallas Vance; his grandchildren, Arnold E. "AJ" Vance, Taylor Hensley, Haley Marie Crum, Camron Crum and Rebecca Cole; his great grandchild Karter Avery Vance; and his pet Bear.
