She was predeceased by: her parent Troy Maynard; her husband George W. Kennedy; her daughters, Joyce Murphy and Shirley Richmond; her son-in-law Edward Murphy; her siblings, Rit Brewer, Josephine Brewer and Opal Turner; and her great grandchild Kayla Murphy.

She is survived by: her parent Julia Maynard; her daughter Georgia Goad (Jimmy Dale) of Beech Creek, W. V; her grandchildren, Grant Charles, Ragan Marcum, Natosha Ledford (Freddy), Eric Murphy, Kaitlin McCoy and Tyler McCoy; her son-in-law Willie Richmond; and her friend Gracie Cisco.
