He was predeceased by: his parents, Neal Dent and Barbara Lou Price Dent; and his brother Neal Steven Dent. He is survived by: his close friend Janet Heath; his sons, T. J. Dent of Welch and Cody Morris Dent of Narrows, VA; his stepchildren, David Lee Heath of Lexington, NC, Andy Heath of Bluefield, WV, Bobby Joe Heath of Davy and Dawn Roberts of Pineville; and his brothers, Timmy Dent of Beard's Fork, WV and Charles Dent of Wytheville, VA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
