He was predeceased by: his father Archie; and his son Stephen Russell Davis. He is survived by: his daughter Jamie Leigh Freeland (Chad) of Williamstown; his grandchildren, Samantha Robey, Logan, Savannah Freeland and Slaton Davis; and his siblings, Shelly Shaffer (Bernie) of Parkersburg, Lora Shaffer (Jeff) of Mineral Wells and Mitch Shaffer of Leachtown.
