He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Harrison and Loutie Smith (Hedrick); and his siblings, Richard, Merlin and Ernest Propst.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Smith; his daughters, Cindy Smith Shiflet (Jeff) of Bristow, VA, Karen Smith of Waldorf, MD and Sarah Smith Pumphrey (Jeff) of Independence, WV.; his grandchildren, Brett Shiflet, Claire Shiflet, Tyler Pumphrey and Ethan Pumphrey; and his siblings, Bonnie Smith Good, Alan K. Smith and Violet Smith Charles. He is also survived by nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces, and cousins.
