He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Stephens and Estella Stephens (Belcher); and his siblings, David Stephens, Michael Stephens, Herbert "Peanut" Grimmette, Tracy Grimmett and Edith Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Lydia Charlene "Bug" Stephens; his daughter Camie Hunt (Oliver); his grandchildren, Courtney Adkins (Steven) of Mallory, Tristan Smith (Eric) of Oceana, Trey Hunt (Taylor) of Davin and Charlie Hill of Oceana; his great grandchildren, Kinlee Adkins, Gabbi Adkins and Paisley Smith; and his siblings, James Grimmette of Bruno, Donald Grimmette (Sandy) of Raeford, NC, Larry Grimmette (Carolyn) of Gallipolis, OH and Brenda Williamson (Charlie) of Bruno. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
