With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Meredith Melvin Spence of Davin, West Virginia, born in Kiahsville, West Virginia, who passed away on April 21, 2021 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Spence and Elizabeth Howard Spence; his wife Racine Spence (Adams); his sons, David and Stephen Spence; and his siblings, Lois Abraham, Helen, Joe Lee, Jeff, Jarvie and Thomas Spence.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Spence of Davin, John of Davin, Tensia Spence of Davin, Elizabeth Ann Spence of Hurricane and Patsy J. Spence of Davin; his grandchildren, Josh Bradshaw, Dwayne Bradshaw, TaMara, J. A. Jobe, Ryan Brown (Magan Hammond), Coty Bays (Whitney Brown), Cory, Tabby Spence, Makayla, Cheyenne and Travis Vance; his great grandchildren, Tyler Williams, Josh Bradshaw, Gracie, Alessa, Kyte, Caius, Sebastian Brown, Avery Spence, Broty Bays and Owen Bays; and his sisters, Nora White, Judy Wessolek, Mary Varney and Sally Smith. He is also survived by several in-laws/out-laws, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests, as Papaw would want, "you spend your money and your time on your babies.".
