He was predeceased by: his father Joe Gibson; his mother-in-law Lorean Staggs; his siblings, Rev. J. Donald Gibson and Flora Lafferty; his brother-in-law Sid Cook; his nephew Joshua Helmondollar; and his half-brothers, Lee and Raymond Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Gibson (Staggs); his sons, Dewey McNeely (Beth) of Columbia, SC, T. C. (Susan) of Oceana, WV, Jimmy Joe (Amanda) of Bluefield, WV and Ben Gibson (Brittany) of Davin, WV; his grandchildren, Payton McNeely, Ryleigh, Logan McNeely, Maddux, Jake and Remi Gibson; his siblings, Danny Gibson (Pam) of Davin, Naomi Gibson Ausburn (Bob) of Tampa, FL and Parthena Gibson Cook of Mallory, WV; his half-sisters, Helen Nielsen of Columbus, OH and Joan Brown of Cyclone, WV.; and his family Christian. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
