He is survived by: his wife Ellen Jean Osborne (Browning) of Davin; his children, Michelle (Jim Grimmett) of Davin and Freddie (Michelle Osborne) of Johnson Heights; his grandchildren, Courtney (Tyler Adkins) of Union, KY, Kelly (Cooper Dixon) of Taylor Mill, KY, Emilee Osborne of Denver, CO and Ross Osborne of St. Albans; his great grandchildren, John Crawford "Ford" Adkins and Shepard "Shep" James Adkins; and his brother Dewey Osborne of Lundale.

“My name is Stephen Cantrell. I am one Delores Cantrell's sons. While I was growing up, relationships with the Osbornes were strained and we never really got to know many of Mom's brothers and sisters very well. I recall meeting Fred once when I was very young. In my memory of that occasion, I have always thought it would have been nice to have known him better. As I recall he was nice to me and the other children there. Please accept my condolences on his passing.”
