He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlie Asbury and Ruby Asbury (Sexton); his brother Arlie Paul; his sister-in-law Bonnie Asbury; and his brother Jimbo.

He is survived by: his wife Vonda J. Asbury; his daughter Cindy; his son-in-law David Ball of Hurricane, WV; his son Curtis II; his daughter-in-law Brooke Asbury of Madison; his grandchildren, Nicholas (Tori Ball) of Scott Depot, WV, AbiGail Ball of Scott Depot, WV, Carson Asbury of Madison, Jackson Asbury of Madison, Gunner Asbury of Madison and Parker Asbury of Madison; his sister Connie Dean; his sister-in-law Becky Asbury; his sister Debbie Waters of Six Mile; his uncle Donald Sexton of Charleston, WV; and his siblings-in-law, Ricky and Diane Boggs of Pinehurst, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
