He was predeceased by: his parents, C. L. Chaffin and Hazel Welch; his stepfather Nobel Dickens; and his niece Rexanna Fitswater (Pauley). He is survived by: his son Josh of Madison, WV; his sisters, Brenda Pauley (Rex) of Sod, WV and Alana Snead (Phillip) of Campbells Creek, WV; and also Wyatt.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CDC guidelines will be observed, with mask and social distancing encouraged.
